The Chandler Limited EMI Abbey Road Studios TG microphone Type L condenser mic lets you shape your recordings with the tone-crafting mastery of Abbey Road Studios. This solid-state mic descends from the innovative TG microphone and inherits its core circuitry, gold capsule and Dual Tone System. The Dual Tone System provides two distinct voicings?System A for a harmonically rich, mid-forward sound and System B for pristine high SPL recording.
Versatile Enough for Any Studio Application
With its cardioid polar pattern and Dual Tone System, the Type L condenser mic rivals scenarios traditionally suited for mics like the C414, FET47, U87, U67 and C12. This utilitarian workhorse may replace the practice of combining a dynamic and ribbon mic on guitar cabinets. The Type L takes the signature Abbey Road TG sound and packs it into a more compact body, giving you a larger-than-solid-state tone in a smaller mic.
