Unlike the original MOSTORTION pedal, the Mofetta actually utilizes MOSFETs for clipping to produce its overdrive and distortion. The MOSFETs help create a bolder, tighter sound with more gain and aggression than typical diode clipping. When you engage the Texture switch, the MOSFETs kick in to deliver fluid sustain and a louder, more responsive distortion.
