Pickups Tailored to Your Sound
The Emperor 5 Deluxe features a custom Fodera/Duncan pickup system with a humbucker at the bridge and split-coil pickup at the neck. These pickups capture every nuance of your playing with articulate highs, firm lows and an evenly balanced midrange. Coil-tapping the bridge humbucker provides single-coil tones. Blend the pickups to shape your own distinct voice or tap into vintage-inspired Motown thump or modern slap tones. The 3-band EQ helps sculpt your sound with precision.
Premium Tonewoods for a Lifetime
Fodera selects only the finest tonewoods to construct their basses and the Emperor 5 Deluxe is no exception. Its swamp ash body resonates with a warm, balanced tone complemented by the maple top's crisp articulation. The rock-maple neck and ebony fingerboard provide a rigid base for the 24 frets.
