Custom Voicing With Vintage and Modern Sounds
Designed specifically for Jake E Lee’s playing style, the Friedman JEL-50 combines his iconic tonal influences from the ‘70s and ‘80s into one head. The Plexi channel delivers warm, articulate tones with a 3-way bright switch for added flexibility. Meanwhile, the JEL channel brings a more aggressive sound, perfect for high-gain solos and heavier rhythms. The push-pull gain switch gives you even more tonal options, allowing you to go from classic rock to full-on metal.
Built for Pedal Integration and Time-Based Effects
The JEL-50 is designed to pair perfectly with pedals, including boosts, ODs, phasers, flangers, and wahs. The ultra-transparent, buffered effects loop handles time-based effects and rack units with ease, ensuring that your tone stays clear and articulate. This is the same FX loop used in Friedman’s legendary BE-100 amps, providing the highest quality integration with your gear.
