The Tennessean's deep hollow maple body produces a rich, balanced tone with pronounced lows, clear mids and shimmering highs. Its set maple neck has a comfortable medium C profile that plays fast and feels familiar. Together, the body and neck deliver the trademark Gretsch sound in a lightweight, ergonomic form.
Filter'Tron Pickups for Classic Gretsch Voice
At the heart of the Tennessean's tone are a pair of Filter'Tron humbucking pickups. The Filter'Trons provide the distinctive Gretsch sound with a blend of warmth, clarity and chime. Flip between the neck and bridge pickups or combine them for a range of tones from smooth jazz to all-out rock.
Vintage-Style Controls Shape Your Sound
The Tennessean gives you master volume and tone controls, as well as individual volume knobs for the neck and bridge pickups?just like classic Gretsch hollowbodies from the 1950s and '60s. Roll back the neck pickup volume and crank the bridge for a biting twang or do the opposite for a mellow jazz voice.
