At the heart of the Bob Balch Signature's sound are a pair of Railhammer Bob Balch Signature pickups. Wound to Bob's exacting specifications, these pickups deliver a hot, yet articulate tone with rich midrange ideal for fuzz and overdrive. The bridge pickup provides tight lows and crisp highs, while the neck pickup is warmer and rounder. A three-way selector switch lets you access each pickup individually or blend them together.
Ergonomic Korina Body and Neck
The Bob Balch Signature's solid korina body is contoured for playing comfort, with bevels along the edges and rear. Korina, a medium-light hardwood, provides an ideal balance of warmth, clarity and sustain. The set-in korina neck has an oval profile that feels substantial yet fast. Its 12' radius rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium-jumbo frets for expressive lead work and intricate chords.
